craft instructor. Responsible for creating, proposing, budgeting and teaching art & craft courses
May 2008-present: Stitch Spectacular co-founder and organizer of international juried hand-
embroidery show. (StitchSpectacular.com)
March 2008-present: Dockwalk Magazine & Dockwalk.com freelance writer with a regular
monthly column on design, blog twice weekly for Dockwalk.com and write on-line articles.
March 2006 – current: Non-denominational wedding celebrant I perform a variety of different
type of wedding ceremonies, created own website: www.reverendrubi.com
Dec 1993-present: Chef various private and charter yachts.
I worked on vessels ranging from 60’ to 140’ and have visited over 30 countries on 5 continents.
Duties ranged from budgeting, menu planning, provisioning, meal preparation, event/party planning
and table decor to accounting and crew management/training, as well as coordinating redesign of
yacht’s multimillion dollar interior and purchasing interior furnishings, table settings, and crew
uniforms to arranging travel for guests and crew and concierge duties for guests as well as watch
keeping and general boat maintenance.
